For the second successive season, Tony Stewart dominates the Pepsi 400 at Daytona. He didn't lead 151 of 160 laps as he did in 2005, but clearly no other driver posed a serious challenge. Road racing ace Boris Said, who also won the pole, finished a career high of 4th on an oval.
Jeff Gordon was unable to tie Dale Earnhardt record of 11 restrictor plate victories as he was wrecked out of contention.
Jimmie Johnson still leads the NASCAR Nextel Cup standings by 13 points over Matt Kenseth.
