1. (1) 29-Kevin Harvick- It will take more than a flat tire while running second to knock Kevin Harvick out of the top spot.
2. (3) 17-Matt Kenseth- I wonder if the Chicagoland race ran through Matt Kenseth's mind when he saw Jeff Gordon in his rear view mirror on that final restart.
3. (2) 20-Tony Stewart- Here is a surprise- Tony Stewart disagrees with NASCAR regarding his pit road speeding penalty.
4. (4) 31-Jeff Burton- Jeff Burton is proving that last year's success was not a fluke.
5. (6) 48-Jimmie Johnson- Now this is the Jimmie Johnson we are used to seeing.
6. (9) 24-Jeff Gordon- Another Jeff Gordon/Matt Kenseth showdown would have been entertaining.
7. (5) 5-Kyle Busch- I wonder if Kyle Busch is brave enough to make the trip to Mexico City this year after spinning out hometown hero Michel Jourdain Jr last year.
8. (10) 01-Mark Martin- Come on Mark, run a full schedule. It's not like you haven't changed your mind before.
9. (11) 2-Kurt Busch- Both Kurt Busch and his Penske Racing teammate Ryan Newman looked ten times better than they did a year ago at California.
10. (7) 8-Dale Earnhardt Jr- His bow after he climbed out of his crippled car was classic. We will be seeing that clip for years to come.
11. (8) 9-Kasey Kahne- Fortunately for Kasey Kahne, the next two races will be held on 1.5-mile high-speed tracks.
12. (NR) 07-Clint Bowyer- Clint Bowyer's journey across the finish line did not make the highlight reel this week.
13. (13) 11-Denny Hamlin- It was a relatively quiet eleventh place finish for Denny Hamlin.
14. (12) 38-David Gilliland- Gilliland must have left his mojo at Daytona because he really struggled at California.
15. (15) 16-Greg Biffle- There was a time when Greg Biffle would have stunk up the show at California. This time, he just stunk.
16. (14) 99-Carl Edwards- I wonder if Carl Edwards is aware that the season has started.
